#4 – Stikfas Animation Tutorial – Camera Angles

After watching this amazing stop motion animation on youtube, Iron Man VS Bruce Lee, I decide that I should hunker down and learn special effects. So I message the creator of that video, and he responds he uses After Effects.

I have a copy of it. A legal one in fact. So I spent most of my time on Sunday watching Youtube tutorials on how to use After Effects. I learned a lot of things, although I didn’t really learn how to do the reframing part that I wanted to, but there was still a lot.

But I also wanted to learn how to properly do chroma keying. That’s when you remove the background if you film on top of a green or blue background. However, after spending a couple of hours on it, I realize that my camera isn’t very good for that, and I need a stronger colour for the background. *sigh* I will keep on trucking though, I just need to find a brighter colour, I think. I don’t really know.

So I altered what I was going to do originally and thus you have the little clip above. My original version was a lot more extravagant. Good thing I ran out of time. I may do the extra animating in the next clip, we’ll see.

My ideas are still coming though, so this is good. I may resurrect one I had almost a year ago.
