Zoe Party

Well my little girl, we had a party in your honour.  Last Sunday you were baptized and we threw a party.  I think at final count we had about 70 people turned up.  That's a lot of people so we were glad that the weather cooperated.  Auntie Lizette and Lola came from Calgary for a few days and they helped a lot.  Auntie Lizette chopped a lot of vegetables for one thing.  Lola took care of you and Ekko quite a bit so Mommy could work on party stuff (and of course Lola did lots of the cleaning up after the party!).  Marion came over and helped.  Auntie Becky and Uncle Aldo picked up stuff.  Uncle Dan and Auntie Cheryl drove over from Ottawa for the event.  I tell you little girl, everybody loves you!  You were splendid and beautiful in daddy's old baptismal gown.  Then you looked adorable in your little Chinese outfit.

You are getting a bit fussy so I'll keep this short.  This week has been so busy for you.  On top of your party and guests, you also have sprung two new teeth.  And you have a rather bad cold.  I think you are starting to get better but it hasn't been much fun for you the last few days.  I hope you feel better soon as tomorrow we leave for Ottawa for your cousin Ellen's wedding.

Love you lots my darling. – Mom
