Ekko & Segway

AUGH!  *sigh*  I wrote out a letter beauty, and then I tried to save it, but the session timed out on me!  Gah!  I’m so upset, so I LOST it.  And here I had a whole slew of things to talk about too!  Ah well, I will try again.

Anyways, Wednesday night we had a grand opening at my work, The Children’s Technology Workshop!  You and mommy came, and you were VERY cute, and VERY thoughtful too, because mommy bought me a coffee and sandwhich at Tim Horton’s, so as soon as you came in you were determined to get that sandwhich and coffee to me!  Bonnie was at the door, bent down to say hello to you, and you went completely around her, saying something along the lines, “Bring Daddy sandwhich and coffee!”  *laugh*  That’s my beauty.

And you had a great time too!  First, there was the drawing table.  We had a separate table for the animators, and you had a blast drawing purple ponies with markers.  Sivan was doing animation, and when she needed to go to the computer, you went to!  I set you up on Stop Motion Pro, and then you started clicking away on the mouse and enter key, taking pictures like mad.  You could do the next 1xY little one!

It was funny, because Ben was there too.  He was working, and you wouldn’t let him go away!  Everytime he started to go off, you’d call out “Ben!”.  *laugh*  Well, he was supposed to be there to help kids out, and you’re a kid, so he was sure earning his keep!

After that, well, we got you started up on the segway!

Some people thought you may be scared, but not our little Ekko!  You didn’t want to get off!  You weren’t even a tad bit nervous, you just went on it, and away you went.  Now operating the thing requires at least 80 pounds, and since you barely measure in at 23, you couldn’t do anything else other than going forward, but you had fun nevertheless!  *laugh*  That’s my daring little girl.  I do believe we’ll have a problem in the future though.  🙂  Chris even got Mommy to go on it!  Mommy was scared, because she doesn’t think she has much balance.  But a segway doesn’t require balance.  In fact, if you try and balance, it will go all squirrelly on ya!  You were a natural, but then again, kids normally are, because they have no preconceived notions about it.

Then Erin got you a balloon, because Daddy failed at balloon acquisition.  *sigh*

Afterwards, mommy and you played botball, and mommy was excited about getting a ball in the goal.

Anyways, it’s getting late, but I wanted to put that pic up.  You’re a beauty ekko, daddy thinks about you all the time.  I have a picture of you in my office, which mommy gave to me a few weeks back.  It’s one of your newer sears pictures.  I love it when you ask in an inquiring voice, “Daddy?”

I’m working a lot of hours lately, and I know you are wondering where I am sometimes.  Hopefully it won’t last long, and I’ll try to get more time to take care of you my beauty!

That reminds me of Tuesday night!  Mommy was working, and you were ready for bed, but you were hungry.  I asked what you wanted to eat, and you said, “Fried Rice!”.  You sure like your fried rice!  So after a few more questions of verification, we went off to Sandy’s.  We sang Winnie the Pooh all the way, and we had a great time!

Looking forward to making more memories with you beauty!  Remember what Daddy wants you to remember!
