Visitors in July

We live a bit of a crazy life my girl.  It has been a whirlwind of a July so far.  With moving into the new house and then all of our visitors.  You enjoy having people around so that is a good thing anyway!  After the Malloys left, then your Auntie Garfus and Uncle Bill came with their girls.  We went to Scarborough bluffs, ate dim sum, went up the CN tower, shopped, ate pho, ate Greek, played at the beaches….  And after they left you kept asking where Fluff was.  For some reason you kept calling your cousin Sally, Fluff.  It was great fun having four teenage girls to play with you and read you lots of stories.  You were pretty happy.

The next day after they left, your Lolo and Lola arrived.  Right now you are out shopping with them.  I cannot believe how grown up you seem all of a sudden.  You decided to go shopping with them and mommy didn’t feel like going.  So you came over and gave me a kiss good bye before heading happily out the door.  Last night Lolo was trying to videotape you singing.  It sure wasn’t hard.  My girl likes to make up songs and you were hamming it up for the camera.  Must take after your daddy.  Then you enjoyed watching the video of yourself just a little too much.  You laughed and sang along with yourself through the whole thing.  Silly cutie.

When we were riding in Lolo’s car the other day, he was playing some music from an oldies station.  You asked him to change the music because you didn’t like that song.  Lola found it pretty funny.

The other night Mommy began to realize how close we are getting to our new baby’s arrival.  So I started looking around at what we needed to start getting ready.  You were so enthused.  We got a new infant car seat and you had a blast at the store.  Every seat had to be checked out by you.  What a determined monkey you are.  You looked at each one and assessed them all, and informed the lady at the store that it was for our new baby.  Then in the car on the way home, you asked where our new baby was about every five minutes.   You also helped me pick out  a new outfit to bring the baby home from the hospital in.  Again you took forever to look through all the stuff and settle on one.  I was enjoying watching you so I didn’t mind how long it took.  I just was amazed at how excited you were about finding clothes for our baby.  What a little dolly you are.  This is a lucky baby having you for a big sister.  You are sure it is a boy baby.  We’ll have to see!

This morning you were singing daddy’s “stuck in the attic” song again.  When we moved, Daddy made up a song called stuck in the attic while he waited up the ladder for people to pass boxes up to him.  For some reason you really like the song.  You just kept asking where the guitar was to go with it.

Now I think I will go have a bit of a rest while you are out with Lolo and Lola.  I love my big girl so much. – Mommy
