Al

Hi my beauty, I haven’t written in a while.  But I have to write about Al.  Tuesday morning, Al passed away with cancer.  By the time you are able to read this, you will not remember him, so I have to write this down so you can realize how many special people you have and had in your life.

Al was a great guy.  He treated you like one of his own grandchildren, and he would delight in the fact that you gave him kisses when it was time for him to go.

He was a very passionate and compassionate man, and was often concerned about you and your health.  He prayed for you often.  When you had a kidney infection and was in the hospital overnight, Al was able to get in (he was a retired priest) and came to provide support and prayer.

He had a wonderful sense of humour, always laughing and always making jokes (and always teasing Gwen).

He and his wife Freda were a wonderful couple, and a blessing in our lives, Ekko.  I am sad that you are too young to remember him.  When Al was sick, you would remember to pray for him during meal times.  And the day before Al died (or two days, I can’t remember) you decided that you had to call Freda and tell her that you’re praying for Al.  The conversation went something like this:

Hi Freda.
I’m praying for Al.
That’s all, Bye!

You’re so sweet, Ekko.  Just remember that Daddy loves you Ekko, and many others, like Al, do too.
