I Got My Copy!

Enchantress

Enchantress Book

YAY! Ok, this will be the last time I’ll talk about this, but I was so excited because I received my copy of Enchantress! I got three of them: the free copy because I completed Nanowrimo, and two more for Thebes and Mel who did a lot for me.

Leezet got one too, because she did the bulk of the editing (she read it 4 times). Poor girl. She hasn’t received it yet, for some reason.

I would like to thank all of you for your support in actually buying a copy. I don’t know who did, but at least 11 of you did, and I thank you. But it IS available free, and… well… it’s not ‘high quality’ stuff, remember, I wrote it in seven days, so the plot was off the top of my head. So, don’t buy it! Just read it for free from the download, or borrow it off of someone. 🙂

I was so excited about actually finishing the novel, that I’ve started a second one. I figure I could go for quantity if I can’t go for quality. If I’m lucky, I could be like those other novel series that you see all the time, but you’re never too sure who reads them. Ya, that’s me; my greatest aspiration is to appeal to the lowest common denominator. Except, there’s no sex in my books. That would probably limit the audience.

I was lying awake, however, thinking about how I never had a young girl as a protagonist before, and now that I’m planning on making a series of them, I will have to deal with that whole romance thing. Ugh. None of my stories that I have written had romance in it, I just never had to deal with it. But if I’m writing about a teenage girl… well… what girl doesn’t think about it? Bother. I don’t know what they think. And I certainly don’t want to hang around with teenage young girls, there’s only so much of that a person can handle before going all loopy and such. (Uh, sorry nieces, don’t take that too personally. But I bet you don’t want to hang out with me for weeks on end. I know my own family doesn’t)

So maybe I should send it out to young girls so that they can tell me if it’s realistic enough. Rotten boys.
