Beauty

Whewie.  It has been a long time since I wrote.  Lots of things have happened.  We went to Calgary to see Lolo and Lola, and Auntie Lizette and Uncle Trae.  Oh and Jet.  You always make sure he gets included when people ask about our trip (Jet is Auntie Lizette's dog).  My beauty was very excited about going on the airplane.  I think this was the first time you were big enough to understand and get really excited.  It was cute.  Both you girlies did well on the plane.  When we were in Calgary you did really well too.  I think at times it was a little confusing.  So many relatives!  When we were at Uncle Kenn and Aunt Lois's house, you asked me suddenly if everybody there were "mamas" too.  The night before Lola had a party at her house and you had met a bunch of Daddy's aunts.  They all introduced themselves to you as Mama —.  Let me see if I can remember some of the things you got the most excited about.  You really liked playing with Neil.  One night we had a sleepover at Auntie Lizette and Uncle Trae's.  That was so exciting.  Jet was there of course.  Auntie Linda bought you a tent for Christmas and it was hours of grand old fun.

Lolo and Lola had a DVD player installed in their SUV for your entertainment.  Unfortunately you are a bit of a scaredy cat.  Poor little girl was so afraid of most of the movies.  We finally went and bought you a Bernstein Bear movie so that you could make some use of the DVD player!

You also really liked the jacuzzi at Lola's house.  We filled it up with bubbles, Daddy put on his bathing suit, and we had a grand old family bathtime.  You loved it.    And you were sad to go home.  I think this was the most fun trip to Lolo and Lola's house yet.  We also got to see Uncle Kenn and Aunt Lois, and family for a day too.  You are still enjoying the snow globe they gave you for Christmas.

Now we are home.  Daddy was teaching you to play a computer game today by yourself.  It was great to see you learn to use the mouse!  I'm so sad sometimes that my baby is growing up.  But it is wonderfully fun to watch you grow.

Sometimes I am afraid that my neurotic behaviour rubs off on you.  One of your favourite "games" is to take the Mr Clean spray bottle and clean things.  It's quite funny.  We have been doing a bunch of crafts.  We made a green pig out of the craft book we got in Calgary. It's so hilarious that I took a couple of pictures of you with it!  You made a Max and Ruby paper doll to play with.  It is so cute.  You were making Max sit in Zoe's car seat today because he is the baby.  Boy to you imitate everything Daddy and I do!

You are still really good with Zoe.  (Daddy is helping me write this letter.)  When Zoe is near you she just starts to smile and giggle.  You make her so happy.

Madeline is one of your favourite stories these days.  In fact, you have the book nearly memorized.  One of the ways that mommy tricks you into a nap sometimes is that we both lie down in the afternoon for me to feed Zoe.  Then I read Madeline outoud to you, and then you read it back to me.  Now you are almost word perfect on about 2/3 of the pages.  By then you are usually relaxed enough that you fall asleep.  It is so great to hear you say "Little girls what is troubling you?"  or "Good night little girls, thank the Lord you are well.  Now go to sleep said Miss Clavel."  You love playing Madeline all day long too.  Except you are always trying to figure out why she lives with Miss Clavel instead of her parents.  I don't really know either.

Okay this is long enough.  I love you buckets and buckets my girl.  Daddy loves you too. – Mom
